The new decree OCM Wine Promotion on Third Countries Markets is about to be issued. It is an European regulation that grants 50% of the total expenses related to the promotion of wine products in non-EU foreign countries, such as participation in fairs, tasting in restaurants or advertising and public relations activities.

The general objective of the Measure is to rebalance the European wine market with the progressive introduction of positive and dynamic actions to increase the competitiveness of producers, but also:

• consolidate the reputation of European wines and regain market shares in the rest of the world;
• provide the sector with a Community regime based on simple, clear and effective rules that ensure a balance between supply and demand;
• preserve the best traditions of European wine production and promote its social and environmental role in rural areas.

The types of projects that can be presented are three: National, in which the promotion focuses on national wine products; Regional, with interest in the products of a single Italian region; Multiregional, from the union of cellars from different regions.

For many years LC International has been developing projects for OCM Wine Promotion on Third Countries Markets, advising companies on the best strategies based on their business needs and capabilities. On our “Projects” page you can consult the ones developed for the last campaign.
