European non-repayable loans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 13 December 2024, the European Commission published the <a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.ec.europa.eu\/common-agricultural-policy\/market-measures\/promotion-eu-farm-products_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Annual Work Program<\/a> concerning the opening for the year <strong>2025<\/strong> of the <strong>EU Regulation 1144\/2014<\/strong>, which is meant to co-finance activities for the <strong>promotion of sustainable and high-quality EU agri-food products<\/strong> in the internal market and worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The document set<strong> 22 January 2025<\/strong> as the date for the publication by the <a href=\"https:\/\/rea.ec.europa.eu\/funding-and-grants\/promotion-agricultural-products-0_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Research Executive Agency<\/a> (REA) of the <strong>two calls for proposals<\/strong>, one for so-called<strong> \u2018simple\u2019 programmes<\/strong>, with one or more proposing organisations from the same EU country; one for <strong>\u2018multiple\u2019 programmes<\/strong>, with at least two organisations from at least two Member States or one or more organisations at European level. The adoption of the work programme for 2025 also marks <strong>10 years of EU promotion policy<\/strong>, and in this year the Commission will allocate <strong>\u20ac132 million<\/strong> for this purpose.<\/p>\n<p>So that you are not unprepared for that date, we explain this important EU regulation below.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>WHAT IS EU REGULATION 1144\/2014?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a EU call that makes funds available<strong> to promote European agri-food products<\/strong>, both on the EU and non-EU markets.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>WHO CAN OBTAIN THESE EUROPEAN FUNDS?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Companies, consortia, bodies, professional and inter-professional organisations representing<\/strong> organic <strong>products<\/strong> or producing and processing chocolate and derived products, bread, doughs, cakes, sweets, biscuits and other bakery products, natural gums and resins, sweet corn, eggs, drinks made from plant extracts, organic products, honey, milk, DOP products, wines with denomination etc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>HOW IS REGULATION 1144\/2014 ORGANISED?<\/h3>\n<p>The European Commission offers entities the opportunity to participate in two types of programmes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SIMPLE PROGRAMMES:<\/strong> the application may be submitted by one or more applicants from the same Member State. In this case, the call is managed at national level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>MULTI PROGRAMMES<\/strong>: applications may be submitted by at least two applicants established in different European countries. In this case, the call is managed at European level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both programmes allow to invest either in the<strong> EU internal market<\/strong> or in <strong>non-EU countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>HOW MUCH IS THE EUROPEAN FUNDING AND WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE ELIGIBLE?<\/h3>\n<p>Both SIMPLE and MULTI projects are subsidised with <strong>non-repayable loans<\/strong> that can cover <strong>up to 80 per cent of the expenses incurred<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The expenses covered by the call are related to promotional activities such as participation in trade fairs, point-of-sale promotions, incoming foreign operators, advertising and media, communication and social media, and creation of promotional material.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"tw-target-text-container\" class=\"tw-ta-container F0azHf tw-nfl\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"text\">\n<h3 id=\"tw-target-text\" class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traduzione\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwiT9JKi_fKKAxX9_7sIHTHKI2oQ3ewLegQIChAT\" aria-label=\"Testo tradotto: WHEN WILL THE 2025 NOTICE OF REGULATION 1144\/2014 BE OPENED? HOW TO SET UP THE PROJECT?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The 2025 call for proposals will open on <strong>22 January 2025<\/strong>. We will keep you up-to-date on any news communicated.<\/p>\n<p>As these practices are particularly difficult, we recommend <strong>expert advice<\/strong>. Over the past few years, we have written and followed up projects under Regulation 1144\/2014, which have been approved by the European Commission and achieved significant results.
