The call OCM Wine – Promotion on Third Country Markets is a measure that allows funding of projects related to the promotion of Italian wine products in non-European countries through activities aimed at improving the competitiveness of the wine sector and the opening, diversification or consolidation of markets.
To whom is the national call for applications OCM Wine Promotion 2024-2025 addressed?
Applications may be submitted by the following categories:
- professional organisations, provided they have as one of their aims the promotion of agricultural products;
- wine producer organisations and associations of wine producer organisations;
- inter-branch organisations;
- protection consortia and their associations and federations;
- wine producers, to be understood as companies that have made wine declarations in the last three years and have obtained the products to be promoted from the processing of products upstream of wine, either their own or purchased and/or that market wine of their own production or that of companies associated with them or controlled by them;
- public entities with proven experience in the wine sector and in the promotion of agricultural products;
- temporary business and purpose associations that ensure the implementation of a unitary programme and business networks.
Which activities can be financed by the national call OCM Wine Promotion on Third Country Markets 2024-2025?
- Public relations, promotion and advertising actions, highlighting the high standards of EU products, particularly in terms of quality, food safety or the environment;
- Participation in events, fairs and exhibitions of international importance;
- Information campaigns, in particular on quality schemes concerning designations of origin, geographical indications and organic production in the Union;
- Studies of new or existing markets necessary for the expansion and consolidation of market outlets;
- Studies to evaluate the results of information and promotion activities.
It is important to emphasise that, on pain of exclusion, projects must consist of a coherent set of actions and activities suitable for achieving the objectives set.
How much is the contribution granted?
The amount of the contribution can cover up to 50% of the promotional costs incurred.
By when must projects for the national call for proposals be submitted?
All projects must be submitted by noon on 3 July 2024, under penalty of exclusion.
Projects and their scoring will be assessed on the basis of:
– level of analysis and understanding of the context;
– consistency of the proposed strategy with the programme’s objectives;
– quality of the proposed actions;
– suitability of the actions in terms of increasing demand for the products and/or increasing awareness of the quality schemes;
– coherence of the financial plan both in relation to the specific actions proposed and to the project objectives.
